THE HIVE
The Hive has kicked off the new term with energy, excitement, and plenty of exploration! Our children have been busy settling into their refreshed classroom spaces, discovering new learning zones and making themselves right at home. Reception pupils have begun their phonics and maths journeys this week, diving into early learning with curiosity and enthusiasm. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence grow already!
To help ease the transition into school life, each Reception child has been paired with a Year 6 buddy. These friendly faces from further up the school are offering guidance, support, and a warm welcome—helping our youngest learners find their way and feel part of the wider school community.

ROBIN CLASS
Class 1 have made a fantastic start to Term 1, bringing energy and curiosity into the classroom. As part of their history topic, children have been bringing in their favourite toys to share and explore. This hands-on approach is sparking thoughtful discussions as they begin to compare their own toys with those from their grandparents’ childhoods. We can’t wait to see what fascinating differences they uncover—from materials and designs to how toys were played with across generations!
STARLING CLASS
Starling Class have kicked off the year with energy and enthusiasm. They’ve been out and about, exploring the beautiful local environment of Kempsford, sparking curiosity and a deeper connection with the world around them. Back in the classroom, they’ve begun working on their new writing unit based on Bike Boy—a dynamic and imaginative text that’s already inspiring some
fantastic storytelling. The children are diving into character development, plot structure, and expressive language, setting the stage for some truly creative writing.
WOODPECKER CLASS
