School Meals

Children are required to either bring a healthy packed lunch or parents are required to book a hot lunch online using the ParentPay system.   The school can provide a full hot-meal service for any children who require it.

At mealtimes the children are closely supervised by a team of mid-day Supervisors and good manners and safety are actively promoted.

Hot Dinners

A hot meal service at lunchtimes is provided by our supplier (CaterLink) and is cooked in our kitchen on-site, The children usually have a choice of three different meal options per day, including a vegetarian option, and need to select in advance which meal they would like. Special meal options are provided at Christmas time.

Separate allergy menus are available – please ask the office.

If you require a hot dinner then you need to book it online by midday of the Friday before.  It is the parents’ responsibility to do this and not the school’s.  If your child is ill you must remember to cancel their dinner too or you may get charged for it.  Your child must choose their meal online at the time of booking.

All reception, year 1 and year 2 children can order a universal free school meal every day. We actively encourage our free school meal children to order a daily hot lunch.

The cost for children in pre-school and KS2 is £2.54 per meal.

Meal booking and payment is all processed via the ParentPay service.

Packed Lunches and Snack Boxes

As a school we provide our infant children with a piece of fruit provided through the Governments free fruit and vegetable for schools scheme.

We ask that all children are provided with a healthy snack from home to have during their morning break.  Below is the NHS Change4Life website  which provides hints and receipe ideas for healthy snacks;

Quick & Easy Healthy Snacks For Kids | Change4Life (www.nhs.uk)

We encourage children to drink regularly during the day, and request that parents provide water in a suitable bottle (pull cap/sports lid type) which the children can refill if necessary.

We are a Healthy School and request that parents ensure that the contents of lunch boxes promote a healthy diet.

The children may bring a drink (not fizzy) in an unbreakable container, with a cup or straw, to have with their packed lunch.

Breakfast and After School

The Breakfast & After School Club can provide meals for children as needed. This is booked directly with the clubs.
