Welcome back to a very cold start to Term 3 – just typical that the cold weather arrives on the first day back! We hope you have all had a lovely break and have returned feeling rested and ready to continue our learning together.
The end of last term included some wonderful Christmas performances and finished with another fantastic Christmas Fair organised by the Friends of Kempsford. The money raised from the games at the fair will go towards a whole-school trip in Term 6, while the funds raised in classrooms will be used for something special for each individual class. More information regarding this will follow.
A massive congratulations to Oliver, who entered the Hanson Art Competition and was awarded third place. He will be working with me to decide what he would like to purchase for the classroom.
This term is filled with lots of exciting activities. Classes 1 and 3 will be starting music lessons next week, and we hope to invite you to their performances later in the term. Class 3 will also be visiting the Magistrates’ Court again, which is a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn about the courtroom and how to manage tricky and challenging conversations.
This term will also see the start of some of our community action projects led by Classes 2 and 3, as they begin working towards the Bronze badge of the Community Award.
Reminders
We would also like to remind parents and carers to ensure children are dressed appropriately for the weather. We do our best to go outside in all conditions, as outdoor play is an important opportunity for children to have a proper break from their learning.
Please book Breakfast Club, After School Club and lunch in advance
(by Friday midday of week before)
All to be booked on ParentPay.
