What a busy and exciting term it has been! We’ve had some fantastic opportunities to come together as a school community, work collaboratively, and focus on important themes like friendship, mental health, and self-regulation.

Prayer Space & Friendship Collaboration

Last week, we were thrilled to host a prayer space here at school, where we had the pleasure of welcoming four other small schools to join us. Together, we focused on building strong friendships and collaborating with one another in meaningful ways. It was a wonderful day filled with learning, laughter, and new connections.

A massive thank you to those who generously gave up their time to run an activity station on the day. Your support made all the difference, and we truly appreciate everything you did to make this event such a success!

Mental Health Week – ELSA Session Focus

As part of Mental Health Week, we dedicated a day to focusing on techniques used in ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) sessions. The children learned ways to control strong emotions and identify methods to self-regulate and reflect on their feelings. We encouraged them to talk to their friends and adults around them when they need support, fostering a safe and open environment for emotional growth. It was heart-warming to see how engaged the children were in these sessions, and we hope they carry these valuable skills with them in the future.

Parent Visit Week

This week, we are excited to welcome parents onto the school site to see our students’ learning in action. It’s a fantastic opportunity for you to see how your child is progressing and to connect with teachers and staff.

We’ll be offering coffee and cakes in the hall, along with uniform items for purchase, so be sure to stop by and enjoy a treat while you’re here!

Parking at School

We are concerned by the number of parents parking very close to the school and on the yellow zig zags at drop off and pick up. We kindly ask that you use the two car parks if there are no appropriate spaces available on the road. The car parks are off Hazel View and in front of the Village Hall. Please also collect your child(ren) from the school gate unless an alternative has been discussed with staff. (ie year 6 children walking home on their own). Many thanks for your co-operation.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing many of you this week. It’s been a wonderful term so far, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!

Warm regards

Mrs Helen Seward
