Newsletter No. 5
What a very busy and productive term it has been. Children across all classes have been focusing hard on improving their handwriting, showing increased care in letter formation, presentation and overall pride in their work. Many pupils are now confidently moving towards using a pen, they should be extremely proud of the progress they have made throughout the term.
Some lovely music can be heard coming from Robin and Woodpecker Class, where pupils have been working enthusiastically to learn and recognise a range of musical notes. They are developing their musical skills and confidence in preparation for a performance at the end of Term 4, which we are very much looking forward to sharing with you. Robin class have been learning the recorders while Woodpecker class have been learning the glockenspiels.
Woodpecker Class have also been invited to take part in the Cirencester Mock Trials next term. This is an exciting opportunity for the children, who have already benefited from two visits from magistrates. During these sessions, the children were able to ask questions, learn about the legal process and gain a clear understanding of what to expect on the day. The visits have been both informative and inspiring, and further information about the event will be shared in due course.
This week also brings some exciting whole-school activities, with a strong focus on developing resilience. Through a range of discussions and practical activities, children will be encouraged to reflect on challenges, build perseverance and develop strategies to help them cope when things feel difficult.
