VALUE OF THE TERM – FRIENDSHIP
“”Two people are better off than one, for they can help
each other succeed.”
The Bible, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Dear Parents and Friends of the school,
Miss Hedges
I’m sure you will want to congratulate Miss Hedges with me in her success securing additional days in the school office.
Miss Drewett (your next Head Teacher) and I conducted a rigorous interview process and paper exercise and the
position contested. We hope she’ll be very happy carrying the considerable workload that goes with it. Office hours
continue to be 8:30 until 3:45, Monday to Friday.
Year 6 Cathedral Leaver’s Service & Climbing Trip
Hopefully parents and carers of Year 6 will have received exciting details about June 24th via School Ping. Please ask if
you haven’t found this yet.
End-of-Year Parental Reports
This year we’ll be trying something different. Your child’s report will be emailed directly to you (although a security
question will appear to provide some safeguards). This will significantly reduce the time spent compiling all the
different aspects of the report AND reduce our negative impact
on the environment with printing and paper costs. We therefore
need you to inform us of any changes in your email addresses.
Thank you.
Thank you
Various parents have donated 2 sofas and beanbags to our new
library space – it’s looking great! Thank you.

Parent Survey 2026
The Governors would very much appreciate your considered response to the annual Parent Survey, which you can find
using this link –

tKpPUkW1UME9QUDkzSzlQVk42UVhKWlZTWkY3N1NCVi4u It takes just 2 minutes (11 questions) and will be
of immense value to our incoming Head Teacher, Miss Drewett. Governors will consider your responses in July. It would
be FANTASTIC to receive a return rate greater than 25% which has occurred historically – so please encourage your
friends!
STOP PRESS — 57 people have viewed this message on School Ping – and we have 26 responses already!
(We have 56 families represented at school.)
Slimbridge Wetlands Trust visit 24th June
We are still in need of additional adults to support our trip to Slimbridge. There are legal adult-to-pupil ratios we have
to observe if we are to be safe and meet pupil need. Please enquire at the office if you are free.
THINK. It is ILLEGAL TO PARK on zig zag lines outside a school. Potentially, it endangers all our children.
