VALUE OF THE TERM – FRIENDSHIP
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfil the law of Christ.” The Bible, Galatians 6:2
District Sports
What an awesome team we had in the District Sports! “On Thursday we had fun at Farmor’s School competing against lots of other primary schools. The longest race was 600m. Other races included 50m sprints, track relay, and the triple jump. We were very successful and are proud to send 8 children to Area Finals later in the term. Well done all.
Staffing Updates
Thank you for your patience whilst all the ‘moving parts’ were put in place. We feel great sadness at Mrs Miller’s decision to move on. Her presence and expertise in the classroom, and with ELSA, will be missed.

School Governor Role
We have a Parent Governor role, which we would like to fill as soon possible. If you are interested in becoming a Parent Governor, please complete a nomination form. Further details are on our Recruitment Page (see above).
Safeguarding
We have created an ‘Acceptable Use of IT’ Policy (which includes our use of AI) and an Allergies Policy. Both are available on our website in DRAFT form. They will be considered at the next Full Governors meeting.
Parent’s Welcome Meeting 2026
For parents who missed the meeting this week, the PowerPoint is available from our website here – The Hive: Foundation Stage Unit 1 & 2 (Pre-School and Reception) – Kempsford Church of England Primary School
Scooters and Bikes
Please can we ask Parents to support us in discouraging the children from riding & scooting in the school playground? I feel it only a matter of time before a smaller child is accidentally knocked over.
End-of-Year Parental Reports – REMINDER & UPDATE
Your child’s report will be emailed directly to you (although a security question will appear to provide some safeguards). This will significantly reduce the time spent compiling all the different aspects of the report AND reduce our negative impact on the environment with printing and paper costs. DO WE HAVE YOUR CURRENT EMAIL ADDRESS? (We can generate more than 1 email per child, for those with ‘Parental Responsibility’ if you so wish. Please talk to the office.)
LAST CHANCE – Parent Survey 2026
The Governors would very much appreciate your considered response to the annual Parent Survey, which you can find using this link – https://forms.cloud.microsoft/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=ncetcp73A0qbBzCeEBM2NcXEAy6R4OJMkXVtKpPUkW1UME9QUDkzSzlQVk42UVhKWlZTWkY3N1NCVi4u It takes just 2 minutes (11 questions) and will be of immense value to our incoming Head Teacher, Miss Drewett. Governors will consider your responses in July.
THIS SURVEY WILL CLOSE FRIDAY 26th JUNE.
THINK. It is ILLEGAL TO PARK on zig zag lines outside a school. Potentially, it endangers all our children.
Slimbridge Trip next week
We hope we have managed to confirm with parents whether they are supporting us on this trip in person. If you are not sure, please ask at the office. Thank you to everyone who offered.
