It’s lovely to see the sunshine at last!

There has been lots of staff CPD over the last few weeks, ensuring safeguarding and first aid training are all up to date, along with some specialist SEND training to further support our pupils.

A massive thank you to all the parents who volunteer to support with their children’s careers event in Starling class. This was a fantastic opportunity for children to be engrossed in activities relating to real world jobs. The room was full of a buzz and the children really appreciated the time.

Over the next few weeks, we have some exciting events planned. Year 4 will be visiting Down Ampney to watch a performance about internet safety – a fantastic and engaging way to reinforce such an important message.

Woodpecker Class will be taking part in a prosecution workshop at Cirencester Baptist Church. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to be fully involved and to see first-hand how the process works.

If any parent is able to help drive the children to these events, please contact the school office or complete SchoolPing form ASAP.

Following this, Woodpecker Class will be heading off to Grittleton for their residential camp. There are some very exciting activities planned, from zorbing to archery – it promises to be a memorable experience for everyone involved!

The governors are in the final stages of the headship recruitment and future planning, a full update will be shared in the next few weeks.
