As we approach the festive season, we have some important staff changes to share with you.
Mrs Hindle-Cooper will be leaving us to work at a primary school closer to her home. Mrs Hindle-Cooper has been an incredible asset to our school, and her dedication and passion for teaching will be greatly missed. We wish her all the best in her new role.
Mr Dickens will also be leaving at the end of the term to take up a new position at a secondary school. Mr Dickens has been a key member of our team. We are grateful for all that he contributed to our school, and we wish him every success as he embarks on this exciting new chapter in his career.
We are pleased to announce that Miss Heavisides will be taking over Class 1. Additionally, I will be stepping in to take over Mr Dickens’ class. We understand that change can be sometimes difficult, but we are confident that Miss Heavisides and I will continue to provide care, support and teaching that your children deserve.
ELSA
In addition, we are excited to introduce a new contact for any ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) related queries or support. We have created a dedicated email address for you to reach out to our ELSA team directly: elsa@kemspford.gloucs.sch.uk
INTERNET SAFETY
With the increase in screen time during the holidays, we want to offer some helpful tips and information to ensure your child is safe, secure and confident online.
Put yourself in control
Set parental controls on your home broadband and any internet-enabled devices. Set up a user account for your child on the main device they use and make sure other accounts in the household are password-protected so that younger children can’t access them by accident.
Explore together
The best way to support your child online is to talk to them about what they do online and what sites and apps they like to use. Be inquisitive and ask them to show you their favourites to check they’re suitable. For more information of how to follow these tips please visit these links:

FOOD BANK
We want to remind you that our school food pantry is available to support any families who may need assistance. The food pantry is located at the front of the school and is accessible at all hours. If you or anyone know could benefit from using the pantry, please feel free to help yourselves. We understand that this time of year can be challenging for some, and we are here to offer support.
THE GEORGE
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to The George for hosting a fantastic quiz night in support of our school. Thanks to their generosity and the enthusiasm of all those who took part, we are delighted to share that the event raised an incredible £124 for the school. This donation will go along way in supporting various school initiatives.
OUTSIDE SPACE
I am thrilled to share some exciting plans for the next few months as we focus on improving facilities in the back garden. Thanks for a generous donation, we will be re-vamping and enhancing the pond area, with the aim of turning it into a fantastic resource for practical science lessons and clubs. We hope the updated pond area will include a seating area and a pond dipping station, providing students with the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning.
Additionally, we are excited to announce that the money raised recently by FRIENDS will be helping to fund an outdoor learning enclosure. The exciting project will offer a dedicated space for our children to learn in an outdoor environment, and in the new year, the children will even help build it.
